I NEED Him!

Nothing I do apart from Christ is worth anything real.  I may glorify myself in some small way.  I may please my self in some small way.  But the only things that are going to make any eternal difference are the works that I am allowing Christ to do through me.

Now, that almost sounds arrogant saying that I "allow" God to work through me.  But think about the character of God.  Think about the love of God.  Think about how He made us.  He created us with a free will.  He will not work through us unless we are willing vessels.  Now, He WILL get glory out of us no matter what.  You may make a great example of how NOT to do life for the generations to come.  He will use all things for His glory.  But don't we want to be on the receiving end of blessings that will come from that glory?

I am in a season of BEGGING God for His presence.  I don't WANT to do this without Him.  CAN I do this without Him?  Well, it will be stressful, painful, fake, and terribly flawed, but yes I could do some ministry work without Him.  We have pastors all over the country attempting this very thing right now.  But do I WANT to do it without Him?  Not in the least bit.  Without Him there are no lasting fruits.  Without Him there is no over flow of blessings and power.  Without Him this job will eat and eat at my very being until I am a hollow shell of a man that has been ravaged by the storms that I would have been shielded had I had God protecting me.

Lord, I NEED you.  I need you to anoint the ministry I am in.  Without you this doesn't even matter.  I never want to do ministry without you.

A NEW PROJECT

Well, the first two vlogs have been released and I am so excited about it!  Hopefully it will pick up some steam.  If you have not seen the vlog yet then head on over to BestLoveEver.org or click HERE to go to my YouTube page.  Check it out and if you like it then please subscribe!  We want this to go viral and become a recruiting tool for Liberty...but I am getting a little ahead of myself.  Let me explain what we are doing here.

If you get on YouTube and search CFAW (College for a Weekend) or Liberty University, you will find all kinds of little videos taken in and around the campus.  Some of them are promo videos and some are completely random cell phone captures.  But regardless of where they come from, there are always lots of comments on them from perspective and current students saying things like, "I went to CFAW!  I loved it!" or "Liberty is AWESOME!  I'm going there next year!" I want to pull from that audience out there.  I want to make this vlog a glimpse into the lives of a couple of guys living on Campus East.  I want people to see this as a REAL representation of what life is like at Liberty.  Promo videos are all well and good, but they are so clean and sharp.  People want to see something real.  So we will give them that.  We will give them an ongoing, narrated, real view of what it is like to live at Liberty University.

I will be using iMovie to edit (until it becomes necessary to use Final Cut) and I will be filming on a Flip UltraHD.  A video will be uploaded most everyday unless we get behind due to school work or other events.  Very rarely will we simply skip a day.  Even if we get behind, we will still upload that previous day's vlog along with the latest.  Some days will be more exciting than others (that's just the way college works).  Just giving you all the info and warning up front! Haha

Nothin Biblical Today…

I figured I would take a break today from the massive Bible studyin I have been doing lately, but that does not mean that I am not going to be in the word at some point today.  I would NEVER suggested taking a day off reading the Bible completely.  Always get a passage from Proverbs or something in.  My Utmost for His Highest is an amazing little daily Bible blurb that you can get for free.  It is a world renowned devotional created by Oswald Chambers.  You can find it online here or if you have an iPhone you can get the app in the App Store for free.

Anyway, I am having an interesting day.  SO tired and wishing that my head could be back on the pillow right now.  I was on the verge of falling asleep in assembly the entire time this morning.  Other than that life is going great.  I feel at peace and I am back to creating fairly consistent content here and on YouTube.  I am trying to take YouTube a little less seriously and throw in some random little vlogs along with the serious, lesson based videos.  Check out my YouTube channel here or follow all my latest videos on the homepage of Best Love Ever.  I am still working out the battle plan for how that site will be used in the future.  I want to be a source of resources for people to grow in their faith, but God just has not given ME the resources to be that yet.  So I am taking a break from building on what is already there at BLE and just letting God work the way He wants in my life as far as that kind of ministry goes.
